Pizza oven: Fixed location or mobile pizza oven
Ratgeber Outdoorküche, Bausatz, Mobiler Pizzaofen
Are you planning an outdoor kitchen in which the pizza oven should be a part? Is the oven a standalone piece in the garden? Is there a base, perhaps in the form of a masonry pedestal or similar? Or do you want the oven to always be exactly where you need it: sometimes on the terrace, sometimes on the lawn under the cherry tree?
The fixed location:
For the fixed location somewhere in the garden or on the terrace, there are many possibilities. We receive customer photos of very individually built pizza ovens almost daily. They range from self-built bakehouses to large outdoor kitchens or solutions on the terrace. With our kits for classic dome ovens from Valoriani, you are completely free in design. The ovens can be set up as dome ovens and plastered, exuding Italian flair. They can also be encased in a larger structure. We also deliver preassembled ovens that just need to be mounted on an existing substructure, and you're ready to go.
Those planning an outdoor kitchen or want to add a pizza oven usually already have weather protection, allowing the pizza oven to be simply plastered. Because plastered, it should not stand in the rain. If no covering exists and none is to be built, we recommend a dome oven with a stainless steel dome from Fontana or the Baby model from Valoriani Forni. They are absolutely weatherproof. The stainless steel pizza ovens can be integrated as a tabletop version on an existing surface or delivered with a substructure.
Mobile pizza ovens:
The advantages are clear here. The oven is movable, and it can be shifted by one person, as the substructure has wheels and hidden carrying handles. Fontana Forni leads the way here. Whether dome oven or bakehouse, even a compact outdoor kitchen Cucina with grill, pizza oven, plancha, and wok are available and extremely popular. Mobile pizza ovens are the ideal solution for small gardens; they offer full flexibility and, in the case of Fontana Forni, the highest quality made in Italy.
Mobile pizza ovens are fired directly with wood or gas. Those who enjoy coziness delight in the crackling and scent of the wood while heating up. For hurried chefs, gas firing is recommended. In any case, the oven is ready for the first pizza after about 40 minutes of heating phase. The substructure made of solid steel serves as a storage area for wood or other utensils, and optional storage surfaces are also available.
Your environment:
It's worth considering your surrounding neighbors when planning your pizza oven. Although you don't need an official permit for a private pizza oven in your garden, good neighborly relations are valuable. So consider whether someone might feel disturbed, as you are placing the oven directly on the property line, and initiate a conversation. The smell during heating and cooking in the pizza oven is comparable to that of a grill or a living room fireplace, which is also perceived by scent but is generally not considered disturbing.
