Mangiafuoco newly insulated
The Mangiafuoco from Fontana Forni is a truly classic Italian wood-fired dome oven. It reaches up to 450 degrees and, thanks to its elaborate and high-quality insulation, maintains this temperature for an extended period. This makes it a true all-rounder: the Mangiafuoco reliably cooks antipasti, casseroles, pizza, meat, fish, vegetables, and even bakes bread.
The current model has now been revised to store the heat even more reliably. The substructure has been completely revised by Fontana. Another insulation layer in the form of a vermiculite panel has now been inserted beneath the fireclay plates. This is located inside the oven directly under the fireclay stone and above a thin layer of air. The goal is to increase the temperature resistance of the oven. The advantages are obvious. Due to the additional insulation panel, the heat is stored longer, making it possible to cook and bake over a longer period. At the same time, wood is saved because less reheating is necessary. In total, this innovation enhances the cooking experience and the oven's energy balance.
The Mangiafuoco has two siblings from the same series, differing in size. If you are interested in the ovens from Fontana Forni, get in touch with us. We have many models in our exhibition that you can view by appointment.
