Would you like to learn how to perfectly prepare bread, pizza and pastries in a wood-fired oven? The smell of freshly baked bread, crispy pizza with airy crust bubbles or a fluffy braided yeast loaf that finally turns out just right – all this awaits you in our Wood-Fired Oven Course with Frank.

Frank is not only an experienced chef and baker, but also a great entertainer. His courses are informative, hands-on, and at the same time a unique experience.


Course Content Overview

  • Baking in Fontana and Valoriani wood-fired ovens – experience the tradition and technique of premium ovens up close.
  • Culinary variety – together with you, Frank will create pinsa from the wood-fired oven, yeast cakes and braided yeast loaf from the Fontana oven, fresh baguette, and of course pizza. In addition, small cooking sessions with vegetables and meat.
  • Active participation – you take an active role in the course, try things out yourself and contribute your own ideas.
  • Delights to take home – all baked goods can of course be taken home afterwards.
  • Relaxed atmosphere – exchange, cooking and baking together are at the heart of the course.

The course lasts about 3 hours and offers you:

Course Schedule (Excerpt)

  1. Welcome & Introduction – get to know Frank and the participants, short introduction to the world of wood-fired ovens.
  2. Preparing the oven – proper firing, temperature control & maintenance of Fontana and Valoriani ovens.
  3. Baking & Enjoying – together you will prepare pizza, pinsa, bread, braided yeast loaf & many other specialties.
  4. Small cooking sessions – vegetables, meat & more complement the baking variety.
  5. Take home & taste – you take your baked goods home with you.

If there are too few bookings, we reserve the right to offer an alternative date or a refund.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations up to 14 days before the course start are free of charge. For later cancellations, we reserve the right to charge 50% of the course fee.

Would you like to bake your own bread, pastries and pizza in a wood-fired oven? Handling the oven appeals to you? And a few tricks would be nice too? Then you've come to the right place. Our chef Frank is very experienced and has entertainer qualities that will make the course unique in every way.
Bread and pizza are the main focus of our course, but of course we also cater to the guests' wishes. Will the yeast plait not turn out or what is the secret behind the crispy dough bubbles on the pizza? Frank brings a lot of experience from the bakery and gastronomy with him. His courses always create a unique event that is geared to the participants.
All hobby cooks who are interested in cooking and baking in a wood-fired oven are welcome. Several ovens are always fired up so that different recipes can be prepared. During the cooking and baking, the atmosphere remains relaxed and informal; exchange and questions are the top priority. Included are of course non-alcoholic drinks, coffee, tea and of course the delicacies created.
