Bread Baking Tips for Wood-Fired Oven Beginners
If you are not yet an expert in bread baking, baking bread in a wood-fired oven can be a challenge. Here are some basic steps you can follow:
- Ensure your wood-fired oven is ready: Before you start baking, make sure your wood-fired oven has reached the right temperature. The oven needs to be preheated to at least 200-250 degrees Celsius.
- Knead your bread dough: While your wood-fired oven is preheating, you can prepare the dough. A simple bread dough recipe consists of flour, water, yeast, and salt. Knead the dough well until it is smooth and elastic.
- Let the dough rest: After kneading the dough, let it rest for at least an hour in a warm place until it rises.

- Check if the bread is ready: To ensure the bread is done, you can take it out of the oven and tap on the bottom. If it sounds hollow, the bread is ready.
- Let the bread cool: After removing the bread from the oven, let it cool before slicing.
