Action "Pizza for a Good Cause"
Ratgeber Valoriani
Utilizing the Capacity of the Gastronomy
The idea arose because the gastronomy is currently underutilized due to the closure. So, the tenant of the Trattoria Aubergine, Aly Hassan, and Jens Hofacker from La Bottega Toscana devised the "Pizza for a Good Cause" initiative. "The employees of the Trattoria want to work, but due to the closure, they are only allowed to offer takeaway and delivery services, and we have many ingredients in stock that we cannot use because no pizza courses can be held on-site," says Jens Hofacker, "so we had the idea to bake pizzas and give them to those who also bear a large burden. And that includes employees in care facilities."
The employees of the Trattoria baked the pizza for the staff of the nursing home at Gänsewald and the St. VINCENZ nursing home in Somborn, as well as the Gründau senior center and the St. Elisabeth hospice in Gelnhausen. After coordination, the pizza was delivered just in time for the shift change so that as many employees and even residents as possible could enjoy a delicious lunch and a welcome change. The pizzas were delivered by the company Taxi Poth from Freigericht - Somborn. There was great joy over the hot, delicious pizzas. And the two chefs Aly Hassan and Filippo Licciardo also had fun working on the Valoriani Verace.
The Initiative Can Be Repeated
Jens Hofacker and Aly Hassan are satisfied with the initiative and the joy it brought to the staff of the facilities. "It is conceivable to repeat this action for other facilities in the area," says Jens Hofacker. Interested employees of retirement and nursing homes can contact La Bottega Toscana at 06051 67777.
